Ramayan (Chapter 1)

Birth of Lord Ram and Ram Navami

After the completion of the Yagya, when six seasons had passed, then in the twelfth month, on the ninth date of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra, in Punarvasu Nakshatra and Cancer Lagna, Kausalya Devi gave birth to Shri Ram, who was blessed with divine characteristics. Since the birth was on the ninth day of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra that is why the birth day is called as Ram Navami.

Lord Ram is the seventh incarnation of Vishnu. He was born in the house of King Dashratha and Queen Kaushalya of Ayodhya. According to mythological beliefs, Lord Rama was born in the Abhijit Muhurta. Education

They received their education from Maharishi Vashishtha. That is why they went to live in his ashram.
